This may sound sensationalist, but I believe there is a case to be made. A case that may not only be interesting for growth/tech investors but also for traditional value investors and environmentalists.
Great writeup, thanks for sharing! I am long since 2018 when I first heard about it on the MicrocapClub and built a starter position. It was one of those "hard not to own at least a little" company. Now it's grown into my biggest position and biggest gain ever and I added 15k shares close to 6$ on the pullback.
Would you mind if I translate your writeup to a french microcap forum (espacemc dot com) and of course provide a link to your substack for those who can read english?
Congrats! You seem to have a very big position, let's hope Verde does as well as we think :)
And thank you for interest to bring it on the that forum. If you provide a clear link to the original source as you suggest (e.g. on the top and at the bottom), I would be happy to see it translated.
Very interesting, but where is the moat in this? If it's cost-effective then why won't a lot of other companies start doing it? Without a moat there is no real first-mover advantage.
for Verde 1.0: the glauconite deposits with this kind of potassium grade are very rare (if they exist in other places around the world). The other deposits in the link are very far away, so there is a literal geographical moat with transportation costs.
for Verde 2.0: they are filing for a patent, but this only protects the inoculation of glauconite I think. However, since the conventional potash fertilizers kill microbes, I would be surprised if they can do something like this as easily, but this is something I wanted to dig in deeper indeed.
They recently redomiciled to Singapore. This gave some issues in some brokers, as people also report here (https://ceo.ca/npk). I didn't have this personally. It seems to be resolved in a few days in most cases.
Thanks. It's just weird when a company like Ameritrade doesn't have any explanation why my shares aren't tradable and have a strange number and letter combination where the stock symbol used to be. It's as though Verde Agritech ceased to exist in their system.
Yeah, I had something weird as well on wikifolio with a virtual portfolio that i use to track on my tech/disruptive innovation ideas and it just liquidated Verde...
Seems like it is also in line with the control freaks a the WEF and their insistence that organic fertilizers take the place of those chemical ones. Not sure of the science involved but what's happening in Sri Lanka and the Netherlands might be solved by Agritech's product.
Shoot it in my veins. Am super long Verde (first stock that really moved the needle for me). I based my thesis completely on being a neutral substitute for existing fertilizers, but your scientific angle on the microbe preservation + enhancement really added to my understanding. Great piece.
That is great to hear! I initially got into the company in the same way and then got so fascinated by looking into the scientific basis. I am really happy with your comment, because that is the kind of angle/information I want to provide with this blog in general.

The stock came to my attention in January and I hesitated. I will aim for 21 EMA around $8 CAD.
good luck!
The stock doesn't show up anymore on TDAmeritrade. Will that change soon?

Verde Agritech is one of those companies where it's difficult to find anything I don't like about them.
I agree, it is my highest conviction investment..
